PRINT2D helps Citibank® save with QR Codes

How a bunch of tiny little squares helped Citibank® save big money.

May 15, 2013 - Los Angeles, CA -- Citibank® is using QR Codes again on their promotional mailers. This time the codes not only make their print more interactive and measurable, but also saved them money in the process. Embarking on a marketing blitz to get more customers interested in their line of credit products, Citibank® took advantage of the United States Postal Service's 2013 Click-to-Call promotion, enabling Citibank® to save 2% on all direct mailers that were tendered and accepted by the USPS® between March 1st and April 30th.

According to USPS, these promotions seek to drive awareness and increase the value and utility of direct mail coupons in today's digital world.

Citibank®, who's using QR Codes to direct consumers to mobile web pages featuring click-to-call technology, began distributing millions of First-Class Mail® cards and flats in February and will continue through the end of July, saving a bundle in postage fees by participating in the program.
